Years ago we engaged Stef to photograph our elderly and noble mutt, Jessie, and our young Frenchy, Jean Wayne. What impressed me most (aside from the incredible pictures that emerged from the session) was that Stef really took the time to get to know her subjects. She arrived at the shoot ready to interact, and interact she did: Within minutes she was on the ground with Jessie, putting the old girl at ease, while simultaneously playing tug-of-war with Jeany, using one of the many props that she brought. By engaging with both dogs on their terms, Stef was able to elicit from them expressions of their personalities and moods that were subsequently captured in the photos. Those images were always treasures, but they are especially precious, now that Jessie and Jean are gone.

Stephanie shot the photos for both of our business websites, Bay View Pampered Pets, and Companion Art Gallery. Both jobs involved people and pets in various combinations and Stef was creative and patient in finding the right shots for our purposes. We appreciate the informal, natural look that she achieved. Stef does not ask her subjects to be something they’re not; she brings out the best of who they are.

Our family has been working with Stef for 4 years - starting with maternity shots while I was pregnant with our first child. She is a pleasure to work with - very disarming, easy going, fun & quirky. Stef has also successfully photographed both our daughters from infancy through the terrible twos - which is no small feat! Miss Snefani (according to my eldest) has captured incredibly beautiful moments of our lives, I treasure her images and look forward to working with her again.
