Q & A / For Inquiring Minds

Q. How long will the shoot take?

A. The shoot will take from 1 to 4 hours, depending on how many subjects are involved. Also, it depends on the complexity of the shoot. Please allow me enough time to set-up and get to know the subject(s).

Q. What clothing is best for a photo shoot?

A. I prefer my subjects in simple clothing. Texture works well, and mid-tones are best. Stay away from logos and busy patterns.

Q. How long does it take to get the proofs and custom prints back?

A. You will receive your proofs back in 1-2 weeks. Take as long as you like to order prints. It is best however to order within 6 months. After that, out of sight out of mind. Isn't the point of the photo shoot to have them beautifully displayed in your home?

Q. Do you photograph cats?

A. Yep, I do photograph kitty cats. It helps if they're dog-like. By that I mean, that they like to come out and play.

Q. Do you have a studio?

A. I shoot on location, which I consider my studio. Besides making the subject(s) more comfortable, it personalizes the portrait.

Q. Do you shoot weddings?

A. I no longer shoot weddings which has allowed me to focus on my portrait work.

Q. What happens if it rains/snows on the shoot day?

A. I will reschedule once because of weather. If the 2nd shoot date is rained out we will move the photo shoot inside.

Q. Are you related to the Bartz Party store?

A. Yes, I am. And no, I won't make you dress up in a clown costume for the shoot.
